Dr. Mali Pereira

Osteopathy

Dr. Mali Pereira is a dedicated and approachable osteopath with a passion for helping people move better, recover from injury, and stay active. After completing his Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University, Mali gained experience working across Melbourne before returning to the west, where he has now been caring for the local community in Williamstown.

Having grown up in Maribyrnong, Mali attended the Maribyrnong Secondary College Sports Academy, where he developed a strong appreciation for high-performance sport and gained valuable exposure to elite sporting environments. This experience, combined with his own journey through sporting injuries, particularly concussion, inspired him to pursue a career in osteopathy and sparked his keen interest in sports injury management, rehabilitation, and performance.

Mali has a strong sporting background, having played local and semi-professional cricket and junior football with Williamstown. He currently plays as the Vice-Captain of Footscray Angliss Cricket Club, allowing him to continue competing while maintaining a firsthand understanding of the physical demands of sport. This experience gives him valuable insight into injury management, injury prevention, performance, and helping athletes safely return to the activities they enjoy.

Mali uses a combination of evidence-informed, hands-on treatment techniques tailored to each patient’s needs. These may include soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation, spinal manipulation, dry needling, and gentle indirect osteopathic techniques. He is fully trained in dry needling and has completed additional training in shockwave therapy, providing effective treatment options for a range of persistent tendon and musculoskeletal conditions.

Alongside hands-on treatment, Mali believes in empowering patients through education, personalised exercise rehabilitation, and practical management strategies to achieve lasting results and reduce the risk of future injury.

Outside the clinic, Mali enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Melbourne’s west, watching live sport and music, and is a passionate Port Adelaide supporter. He welcomes both new and returning patients and looks forward to helping them get back to doing what they love.

Mali is very welcoming and keen to assist with new and return patients.
